Sonder Labs is an AI research studio building tools for writers. They wanted a brand that felt human and calm in a category addicted to hype.

The Challenge

Investors expected a familiar tech look; the founders wanted the opposite. The brand had to feel credible to both without defaulting to gradients and glow.

Strategy

We positioned Sonder as quiet intelligence — warm neutrals, generous space, and a wordmark with just enough character to feel made rather than generated.

Design Process

Alongside the identity we built a lightweight design system: tokens, type scale, and components that let a small team ship a consistent product and site.

Outcome

Sonder launched to a warm reception and closed its seed round. The design system still underpins every new surface the team ships.
